About the Workforce Education Forum |
|||
The Workforce Education Forum (WEF) was begun in 1971 as the Occupational Education Forum (OEF) by the Alpha (Penn State) chapter of Iota Lambda Sigma (ILS), the Professional Industrial Education Fraternity. Leadership of OEF/WEF has been, and continues to be, provided by the graduates of industrial, vocational, or workforce education programs at Penn State. The WEF is affiliated with, and receives support from, the Professional Personnel Development Center (PPDC) in the Workforce Education and Development Program at Penn State, as well as the OEF/WEF endowment fund. A historical account of the first 25 years of the OEF/WEF can be found in the Spring, 1998 issue of the WEF or on the WEF website at http://cte.ed.psu.edu./inhere/PPDC_publications.html.
