What do you do when you receive the Workforce Education Forum? Perhaps you turn to the Table of Contents to examine the titles of the articles. Or maybe you look through the authors’ names to see if you recognize any of the contributors. Possibly you turn to the Gillis’ book reviews to decide what to borrow on your next trip to the library. When you receive a new issue, it is unlikely that you look at the names of the person responsible for preparing the journal for mail. Yet without the help from the Subscription Editor, the Workforce Education Forum would not reach your hands and the authors’ writings would go unread.

For many years, Kristine Sefchick, a staff assistant in the Workforce Education and Development Program at Penn State, has been the WEF Subscription Editor. She kept our subscription list up-to-date, took new subscriptions, sent sample issues to inquiring, would-be authors and effectively managed mailing the journal in addition to her regular office responsibilities. After 37 years with Penn State, Kris is retiring to enjoy the next chapter of her life in well-deserved leisure with her family. The Trustees, Editorial Board, and Editors sincerely thank Kris Sefchick for her dedication through the years and wish her many more years of health and happiness. Best wishes, Kris. You will be missed.
